Carrie graduated from James Madison University in 2004 with a BA in sociology. She received her diploma in nursing from Mercy School of Nursing in Charlotte, NC in 2010. Carrie completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Carolina University in 2013. She received her Master of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Western Carolina University in 2017. Carrie’s nursing background includes emergency and urgent care medicine. She relocated to western North Carolina from Charlotte after receiving the Ascent Partnership scholarship from Harris Regional Hospital in 2017. In her spare time Carrie enjoys cooking, reading, and creating epoxy resin jewelry and crafts.
