Katey grew up in Southwest Florida and began her higher education with a BA in art history from Florida State University in 2009. After working as a museum docent, she then realized she was a people person! Katey decided she would like to care for others; she pursued nursing at Edison State University while working as a CNA in 2012. Katey worked as a registered nurse for six years in labor delivery and postpartum. 

Katey then earned her master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Frontier Nursing University in 2018. She has over 7 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care and occupational medicine. 

With 14 years of working in healthcare in multiple different roles, Katey is grateful for her experience and the opportunity to care for others in all aspects of their wellbeing. 

In her free time Katey enjoys quality time with her husband and her two daughters. She also cherishes alone time with a book, particularly a good memoir.
