Miranda Schmidt, MMS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant with extensive experience in both military and civilian healthcare settings. She served seven years as a Physician Assistant in the United States Navy, where she completed assignments at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, and lastly at the United States Naval Academy. Her military service provided broad clinical exposure and the opportunity to deliver high-quality care in diverse and operationally demanding environments. 

 

Following her transition to civilian practice, Miranda worked in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the Medical University of South Carolina, managing critically ill patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. She then transitioned her career in Aviation Occupational Medicine with Boeing in Charleston, South Carolina. 

 

Miranda earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Mars Hill University in August 2013 and her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University–DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in August 2017. She obtained board certification as a Physician Assistant in August 2017. 

 

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Miranda values time with her family and her two dogs, Bella Mae and Bo Duke. She also enjoys running, cycling, and swimming.
